Rainbow beneath the feet

Had  been to Kaas (Satara District) with Nature India Tours a couple of weeks ago, which is literally a paradise for the flower freaks. The plateau's verdant slopes, the pristine surroundings, the breathtaking scapes , the  invigorating fresh air, the placid lake and ofcourse the velvette rainbow carpet of flowers all around you would definitely lure you to its laps again and again.

We were a mixed bag of about twenty led by Dr.Rajendra Shinde, Reader in Botany, St.Xaviers, Mumbai and in the course of those two memorable rejuvenating days we catalogued about a hundred odd species of wild flowers seen in the Sahaydri slopes.

The flower album can be viewed at My Picasa.
